My sister and brother in law are moving to Argentina to work for a while and see the world! Such an exciting thing for them. I made this congratulations card for the occasion...
It was my husband's idea to use the Argentinian flag colours- bashful blue and whisper white. I used the top note die, ovals die and the manhattan flower embossing folder for this card. I hope you enjoy my card!

Another little box project... plus a magnet!
My brother in law's girlfriend is having housewarming with a fun twist... bring a magnet as the gift! I was excited to see if the Big Shot could make this project quick and easy, and it was.
I bought a set of magnet sheets from Ebay ( $4.95- you can buy them HERE) and cut them down using scissors. It was then only a matter of choosing a cute photo, sticking it to the magnet and running it through the Big Shot.
Of course I couldn't resist using Makeesha's box template to contain my magnet, and I added a little card to complete the gift!
Have a go at making magnets using your Big Shot- it's so much fun!

Just Add Ink challenge 37
Time for another challenge! The colours at Just Add Ink this week are...
Hmmm, an interesting combination! I would never choose these colours on my own, so it's fun to be given a challenge which stretches you. Here's what I came up with:
It took me a while to work out what I was going to do with these colours. This was the first time I used Friends Never Fade, it's a gorgeous stamp set. I used crystal effects on the flower in the oval, which adds a nice contrasting texture. I distressed my edges and stamped off first to achieve a slightly more faded Rose Red on the Top Note die. I finished it off with three rhinestone brads.
The other entrants are just so gorgeous this week. You should definately check them all out. Thanks for stopping by!

My Big Shot is finally here!
After waiting patiently for many months, my Big Shot just arrived... and I absolutely LOVE it! I've been having a little play today, and here's what I have come up with...
My Birthday Bakery stamp set arrived today too, isn't it lovely? And of course Sincere Salutations is there too, a gorgeous stamp set which is so versatile.
The colours I have used are Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue and the new in colour, Blushing Bride. The ribbon is from a craft store. I've used both the Top Note die and the Ovals die. I hope you enjoy my card!

Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge 36
My first challenge! I'm taking advantage of the holidays and trying to get my blog up and running. So I've taken part in Just Add Ink's sketch challenge for the week... and I've just made it in time! Here's the sketch I followed:
And here's my creation:
I used a sweet treat cup and added a chockie lady bug. The colours are Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade and Basic Black. The greeting is from Sincere Salutations and the leaves from A Little Treat, both Stampin Up. I like the simple, clean look of this card, and it's delicious too!
You can check out the challenge HERE. Thanks for visiting!

Hoot Hoot Hooray!
I love this retired stamp set and I'd love to share my owl card with you. I love owls so much, my son's room is decorated with them. I made an owl mobile using magnets and paper when I was patiently waiting for him to arrive. He's a toddler now so is getting too big to have a babyish theme, but it might have to stay as I think it's my favourite part of his room:
I gave a card away that I made using my Owl Together Now owl stamps... and forgot to take a photo before it left my possession. But I made this one too, it's no where near as good as my other one, but for now, it'll have to do! When I feel the need to make another owl card, which I'm sure won't be too long, I'll make sure I take a photo before giving it away.
This one uses Not Quite Navy, Crumb Cake and Whisper White. I hope you like it!
