Summer Scrapbooking

I am finally getting my teeth into the huge pile of scrapbooking ideas that I have for all of my son's photographs- he's seventeen months old so I'd better get moving- he'll be sixteen before I know it!

This one is from the Stampin Up Convention last year, using my son's photograph that was taken at daycare by a professional photographer.

Although I never ever put butterflies on anything, I do quite like this butterfly and it has made me warm to them. I especially like the saying stamped on the butterfly.

The colours used are gorgeous and summery- poppy parade, baja breeze, soft suede, whisper white and old olive.

The other one I wanted to show you is my own design, using the scrumptious Tart and Tangy stamp set-

I used peach parfait, bashful blue and real red here as the colours co-ordinated nicely with my son's shorts. This is a photo taken after 'Rainbow Day' at daycare, one of my favourite pictures of my son from his first year. A simple but cute scrapbooking page.

These two are six by six pages- a great way to save time, cut down on costs and make the project more managable! This is an excellent way to start scrapbooking- Stampin Up offers some gorgeous albums in both the 12x12 and 6x6 sizes, starting from $38.95. I'm using the 6x6 linen post album for these projects.

Remember that you can order any of these supplies through me, book a workshop where I come to your house for some fun with friends, or you can come to one of my classes!

Birthday Card for Hubby

Here's a bright, fun card I made for my husband's birthday next week, using Stampin Up's In Colours peach parfait and poppy parade:

I used the heart and pie images from 'Every Little Bit' and the sentiment from 'Well Scripted'- only available in the summer mini for a short time! Lots of glitter applied with heat n stick powder and crystal effects makes the images jump off the card. The scallop border punch and the paper piercer on either side of the card finishes it off.

I had fun making this one!

Birthday Bakery Stack

I am working on making lots of cards to sell at upcoming markets on the Central Coast, so I have been busy busy busy stamping away! Here is a set I made earlier this week using the hostess set, Birthday Bakery.

I have almost finished making the whole set of matching In Colours- peach parfait, concord crush, poppy pirade, blushing bride and pear pizzazz. I'll update this blog when I have a matching stack of five with a new photo. I can't believe I have already used up most of my In Colour cardstock need more! They are gorgeous colours though.

It's a tad hard to see but the stamp in white reads, "if you are what you eat, eat something sweet". He he he!

My Big Shot is finally here!

After waiting patiently for many months, my Big Shot just arrived... and I absolutely LOVE it! I've been having a little play today, and here's what I have come up with...

My Birthday Bakery stamp set arrived today too, isn't it lovely? And of course Sincere Salutations is there too, a gorgeous stamp set which is so versatile.

The colours I have used are Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue and the new in colour, Blushing Bride. The ribbon is from a craft store. I've used both the Top Note die and the Ovals die. I hope you enjoy my card!

Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge 36

My first challenge! I'm taking advantage of the holidays and trying to get my blog up and running. So I've taken part in Just Add Ink's sketch challenge for the week... and I've just made it in time! Here's the sketch I followed:

And here's my creation:

I used a sweet treat cup and added a chockie lady bug. The colours are Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade and Basic Black. The greeting is from Sincere Salutations and the leaves from A Little Treat, both Stampin Up. I like the simple, clean look of this card, and it's delicious too!

You can check out the challenge HERE. Thanks for visiting!

A CASED gift box...

I found this gorgeous gift box template on a tutorial on Makeesha Byl's site. You can view it here.  I have used Stampin Up's Basic Grey and the new In Colours, Poppy Parade and Concord Crush. I snuck Pear Pizzazz and Blushing Bride in there too on my stamped image from the retired Bitty Birthday. I used a paper piercing tool and a corner rounder to decorate the bottom of the opening. Here's an inside peek:

Just the right size for a gaint freckle from Darrell Lea! Yum! Thanks Makeesha, this is about the third time I've used this template and it's so easy!

Circle Circus Thinking of You

I'm excited to post my very first card... A thinking of you card I made for my mum who is returning from a trip to New Zealand tomorrow. I've used whisper white, basful blue, peach parfait and pear pizzazz cardstocks and inks. The new In Colours from Stampin Up are so beautiful! I found the bead in a jewellery shop at my local shopping centre, which I thought made a nice embellishment with some lace from a craft shop. The stamps used are Circle Circus and Sincere Salutations.
