Old-Time Feel Cards and Matching Box

Here's a cute little card box and set of four cards that I demonstrated at a recent workshop. The hostess got to keep these (isn't that a great reason to host a workshop?) and she loved them.

I used the neutral paper patterns stack, a range of neutral cardstock colours and real red for this set.

These cards match in colour scheme but have a range of stamp sets, techniques and tools used to make them. There are infinate possibilities when playing with Stampin' Up! products.

Petal Pizzazz in purples

Today I worked on a flower card for a friend. The colour scheme is elegant eggplant, bashful blue, crumb cake, chocolate chip, very vanilla, old olive and rich razzleberry.

That's a lot of colour going on- but I love how it all looks together and I love this stamp set. I cut out each individual leaf and flower and slightly ruffled their edges to create a 3D look.

I also decorated the back to even out the weight of the card. I hate it when my cards fall over because the front is too heavy!

Vintage Cards

I have been busy making lots of cards lately, here's another style I've been working on. Stay tuned next week for a series of posts on Christmas ideas!

For today's post, I made some vintage cards using the Greenhouse Gala DSP, along with the exquisite stamp set, Friends Never Fade, and Sincere Salutations. Lots of sponging and scrunching to make these! I'm loving the colour combination of Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake. The top note die using the Big Shot really makes this card beautiful, don't you think?

Petal Pizzazz rocks!

I think this is my favourite stamp set that Stampin Up! does. Oh, I love Sincere Salutations too- and used it on these cards as well. It's bold, fun and looks great in any colour. It is of course Petal Pizzazz and I have been having fun making a stack of cards for all sorts of occasions.

The brights papers patterns stack featured again in these cards to make them pretty and colourful. There was a little bit of cutting involved in these cards but I actually don't mind, it is a labour of love.

This one is my favourite colour combo- old olive, daffodil elight, real red and elegnt eggplant. My envelope is stamped to match.

I had fun making these ones, hope you like em!

Morning Cup in Rich Razzleberry

I absolutely love the brights paper patterns stack of 12 x 12 designer series papers from Stampin Up! At 37.95 it's a great buy because you get ten different colours, and 4 doubled-sided pieces for each colour. You can make so many different things with them. Here's one I made earlier in the week:

For this card I used the very pretty teapot from 'Morning Cup', along with the greeting from Sincere Salutations, which sure gets a work out on my cards! My 1 3/4 circle punch is perfect for the teapot. I used matching razzleberry satin ribbon, with a pumpkin pie button to finish it off. I reckon it looks great as a square card. I hope you like it!

A cute gift with the Big Shot Milk Carton die

It's my mother in law's birthday today so I thought it was the perfect time to use my mini milk carton die for the first time... well I had a little play with it as soon as I got it, but haven't used it for a gift yet. I decided to use Really Rust and Close to Cocoa cardstock, with some Whisper White, because these colours suit Grandma really well. I think they're really pretty together. I also made a matching card:

I have seen the mini milk carton box over all over the net, created by the talented Becky Roberts. I also used stamp set Birthday Bakery and Sincere Salutations. I filled my milk cartons with a variety of chockies from Darrell Lea. I ended up eating way too many myself!

I used the top note die to create this card. The ribbon is from a local craft shop. I hope you enjoyed my creations, thanks for looking!

Mojo Monday... on a Sunday!

Oh so I'm just squeezing this challenge in! Oh well, better late than never, right? Here's Mojo Monday's sketch challenge this week:

Hmmm, round or square? Well, I'm not really a round card person, so I went the easier option and did square. I really liked doing this sketch. Here's my card:

I used the manhattan flower embossing folder to give the three panels some detail. There's not much stampin on this card, but I did use Sincere Salutations which I love to use, and sponge daubed the edges of my oval. I made the three square buttons using three layers of real red cardstock, glued together, pierced with my paper piercer, threaded with crumb cake and finally layered with crystal effects.

It took a lot of patience waiting for these babies to dry, they're smothered in CE! I'm pretty happy with my card. Thanks for peeking! Now check out the others (if you haven't already) HERE.

My Big Shot is finally here!

After waiting patiently for many months, my Big Shot just arrived... and I absolutely LOVE it! I've been having a little play today, and here's what I have come up with...



 My Birthday Bakery stamp set arrived today too, isn't it lovely? And of course Sincere Salutations is there too, a gorgeous stamp set which is so versatile.

The colours I have used are Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue and the new in colour, Blushing Bride. The ribbon is from a craft store. I've used both the Top Note die and the Ovals die. I hope you enjoy my card!

Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge 36

My first challenge! I'm taking advantage of the holidays and trying to get my blog up and running. So I've taken part in Just Add Ink's sketch challenge for the week... and I've just made it in time! Here's the sketch I followed:

And here's my creation:

I used a sweet treat cup and added a chockie lady bug. The colours are Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade and Basic Black. The greeting is from Sincere Salutations and the leaves from A Little Treat, both Stampin Up. I like the simple, clean look of this card, and it's delicious too!

Sweet Treat Cups for Halloween

I so wish Australians would get more into Halloween! Every year I see more stuff in the shops so perhaps one day we can get into it a bit more here and have another fun holiday for the kids.

This year my friend is having a Halloween party so I've made a card for the occasion using Stampin Up's Sweet Treat Cups. I've filled the cup with some scary confetti which makes a cute embellishment. The stamp says "holiday greetings" and is from Sincere Salutations. I've also used a stamp from Circle Circus to add some tone on tone in pumplin pie. The colours I've used are Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie and the newbie, Concord Crush, which  I LOVE! I hope you like it!

Circle Circus Thinking of You

I'm excited to post my very first card... A thinking of you card I made for my mum who is returning from a trip to New Zealand tomorrow. I've used whisper white, basful blue, peach parfait and pear pizzazz cardstocks and inks. The new In Colours from Stampin Up are so beautiful! I found the bead in a jewellery shop at my local shopping centre, which I thought made a nice embellishment with some lace from a craft shop. The stamps used are Circle Circus and Sincere Salutations.
